At 8 pm, our selection is on the Vanderbilt Commordores minus the points over Illinois. The Illini won their opener, 66-50, at home over Texas A&M Corpus Christi. But off that win, Illinois falls into one of its worst team situations, as Bruce Weber's troops are a dreadful 0-12 ATS since March 2007 off a win of 8 or more points. Illinois is also 5-17 ATS vs. non-conference foes the past 2+ years. In contrast, Vanderbilt is a solid 49-27 ATS at home vs. non-conference teams. The Commodores are led by center A.J. Ogilvy, and Ogiglvy was unanimously voted to the SEC Preseason 1st Team. Illinois will have a difficult time defending Ogilvy, as its centers Mike Tisdale and Richard Semrau have not played good position defense thus far this year. Take Vanderbilt. My football plays are released as early as Monday in advance of the weekend. And some games are released closer to game time, including the day of the game. The majority of the games are released well in advance. For basketball and baseball, the plays are released overnight.
